I'm mostly a lurker on this list. I'm working with Luisa Beck to put
together a blog post for the MIT Center for Civic Media about making
maps for journalists and we are looking to cite a case where mapping
actually was _not_ ideal because not everybody wants to be mapped. In
these cases mapping can be an invasion of privacy or serve to "out"
request for MapKnitter help

workshop tomorrow May 14th and 15th.

timestamped CVS file is complex(we have to use external library (Library<[link]>)
to create .csv file). Instead of that can we use sql database to store all
the parameter??
For weather info, I used weather.com data in my GPS navigation app so that

nice set of visible and nir images.
Chris Fastie ran Ned Horning's ImageJ tool on the one of the image pairs in
Stewart's visible map and output NDVI and NRG images of the community
garden for an interesting result and nice example.

DIY Aerial Mapping mention in US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation magazine, Trajectory
Some of the details are wrong--like length of Public Lab's mapping, but it
is the connection to another segment of the geospatial professionals that
finding my location in mapknitter
I just opened a new map for stitching, but I didn't enter lat. long. info.
Is there a way to add this info in the stitching stage? cause it is
difficult to find the location I need manually.

Plymouth nuclear plant mapping

CCBW's been pushing for tighter permitting for the construction of a new

for mapping. You have to have perfect conditions- basically no wind.
Solar hot air is much safer, but then you need even more difficult
conditions: no wind, full sun. On the bright side, even a huge solar hot
air balloon packs down to a lightweight ~20cm ball, so I keep one in my kit

On our recent balloon mapping expedition in Qatar, we used a GoPro Hero3
Black to capture images. This camera doesn't put any lens information into
the EXIF data, so post-processing the images is quite difficult.
android, wifi camera, remote trigger for bap or kap
Any of you have tried the camera Galaxy EK-GC100 (an android camera) for
kap or bap? And any of new wifi cameras and smartpho/tablet as remote
trigger?
