The Public Laboratory website will not render correctly in Internet Explorer 6 or earlier. To view it properly, please use an up-to-date browser, such as Firefox, Chrome, or another standards-compliant browser. It's a good idea to upgrade anyways -- olderversions of IE pose a security risk for your computer.

The Program for the Study of Developed Shorelines is now equipped to do balloon and kite aerial photography using techniques perfected by GrassrootsMapping.org. PSDS worked with grassrootsmapping.org, GonzoEarth, and the Louisiana Bucket Brigade on imagery associated with the BP oil spill in the spring and summer of 2010.

The improvements of our aerial photography over Google Earth imagery are dramatic. See below. Our ultimate goal is to replace the Google Earth imagery with our own.
